Trying to update my second location with Clements 2008. I think the problem may be that I can't get my computer to unlock the "read only" property when I try and open c:\program files\Birder's Diary\Clements 2008. Help please!

When you say second location, do you mean second computer? I will assume so for this answer.

Please tell me what you do, and what happens.

Are you trying to UnZIP the Clements ZIP file?

Please just give us the exact details of what you are doing, and what happens and I can help get you around it.

Thanks for the info. But I still need more.

When you say "it won't open", what makes you say that? Tell me exactly what you are doing and exactly what happens; including the full text of any messages that you get. This information is vitally important to solving the problem. For example, something like:

1. I am in the File Import window
2. I click on the Import button
3. I get the Open File dialog
4. I select the CSV file named "xyz.csv"
5. I click the Open button
6. I get message "cannot open file, file is locked"

3. Click on the Start Session button
