I am running Birders Diary 3.6.49, and just installed Clements 2008Taxonomy and Checklist, no problems noticed. After installing the Checklist I found this message in the Birders Diary folder 'ChecklistImport'.

"Location did not exist for import. Created it under World\$Orphaned Locations$\."

Could you please give me step by step instructions to eliminate this orphaned location.

Well not sure why the message does not paste correctly so, the location is NEW BRITIAN.

Does it say "NEW BRITIAN" or "NEW BRITAIN"?  If it's Britian, then it's just a spelling error that somehow got into the database.  If it's Britain, then it somehow isn't attached to what it should be.  It's parent location should be BISMARCK ARCHIPELAGO.

To fix it, just open up the locations tree by clicking on Locations.  Under $Orphaned Locations$, find NEW BRITAIN.  Click on it, then click the Edit button.  Under the Parent Location field, enter BISMARCK ARCHIPELAGO and click Add Parent.  Then click Update Location and you're done.
