(1) I read that "Each sighting you recorded in version 2.5 is marked in version 3 if it is a potential split.".   How is it marked?  I have not found any indication of this.

(2)  When I pull up a sightings entry checklist, all common bird names are bold.  Does v3 no longer have the feature where the bird name is bold only if you have seen it before?

Hi Billie,

1) During the 2.x conversion, user-defined fields (UDFs) were created which indicate this. Use the UDF feature on the View/Edit Setup window to specify that you want to see all records with with "Species Split" and "Species Lump" set to Yes. Use the UDF Data Setup window (Ctrl+U) to view your current UDFs and to maintain them.a When I used this against your data and specifying Clements 2008, I got 1176 sightings records. You do not see these fields by default on your View/Edit window. To see them, you need to right-click on the View/Edit grid and choose to display those fields. Let me know if you need more info on this.

2) V3 does list species you have seen in bold, and those not seen in non-bold font. For example, when I brought up a data entry window - checklist style - specifying Colorado, ABA tax list - most birds are bolded, I had to scroll down to Ivory Gull to find the first bird you have not seen.

Let me know if I can assist further.

Jeff
