Is there a way to enter a sighting and mark it so it is not considered when putting together one's various life lists?

Hi Jim,

You bet. Create a Yes/No user-defined field (View | User Defined Sightings Data) and check the box entitled "Life List Count Disabler".

This new field will appear on all data entry forms. When you want to enter a sighting that you do not want to count on your life list, check that box.

Let me know if any of this is unclear. There is a help topic in the user's guide (F1) that explains the use of the user-defined fields.

Jeff
