Jeff

The light gray text on white background are difficult to see.  Also, are the unread messages in bold???

Thanks for the input Mel.

Working on the new site skin. Hang in there and we will see if I can't make it better.

Thanks. I thought I had screwed up my session somehow - spent 10 minutes going through my profile, trying to find a way to change the skin.

Regards,
Steve

Jeff

The light colored text on white background and sort of bold for unread is still a problem for these old eyes.

I agree guys. I don't like it either. I want to fix it, and will, but right now, there are many other fires I am working on. Hang tight. And feel free to keep prodding in order to keep this near the top of my list.

Jeff,

If this is something I can help you with, let me know - I'm assuming the skin is CSS controlled and I'm pretty good with CSS.

Hi Kevin,

Thanks. I will accept any assistance. But, you have to know how to do it within the confines of DotNetNuke (what this web site is based on). Do you know anything about DNN?

Jeff

I know some, though I'm hardly an expert - I suspect if I reinstall it and play with it for a day, I can figure out where the relevant CSS information is stored for the site and make the change. I'll get it up and running again on my system (my last whirl with it was a year or more ago, so I'm sure I'm a few versions behind).

On that note: are you using DNN 4.9? I assume since the 5.0 release is rated "not for production environments yet" you're still on the 4.9 version.

Hi Kevin,

I am on v4.9 of DNN. The CSS is set in the Admin panel on this site. I know where to set it, just don't know what to set/change.

If you want to tinker, let me know. Send me email personally and I will setup your account.

FYI: Jeff's out for a bit, but I found where to change the color settings in question. They may continue to change somewhat once I hear back from Jeff exactly how he wants them to appear, but for now, the support topics are more visible again, and yes, the unread ones (if you're logged in) are bold-faced.

The light and bold blue text look great. Very easy to read.

Thanks

John - you may need to clear your browser cache to see the changes, or at least force a complete refresh of the page. The easiest way to do that in Internet Explorer is to hold down the shift key while you click the Refresh button on the toolbar. I'm pretty sure there's a similar (maybe identical?) key combo for Firefox, etc.
