I understand if you own a license for the previous version of the taxonomy lists, then you can get the current version at a deep discount.  My problem is that my previous, many-years-old version of BD is on an ancient laptop, which may or may not work anymore.  Do I need information from that version to qualify for the discounted new version?  Thanks!

Hi Stephanie,

If you are talking about upgrading a taxonomic list and your BD is many years old, then you will not qualify for the upgrade price for the new taxonomic lists.

If you are talking about upgrading your user license (see Product Info => Licensing Explained on this site), then you will not need any information from your old version. Simply purchase the approriate upgrade license (upgrade from 2.x, upgrade from 3.0, or upgrade from 3.5) from the Online STore page.

Let me know if I can assist further,

Jeff
