Hello Simon,
In 3.7, the paradigm has changed. Instead of focusing on the birds you have already seen at the specified location, BD will highlight the birds that will be Lifers (World, Location or Annual Lifers) for you at the specified location. This allows you to focus on what is important, rather than those already seen.
This is done via the Checklist TAB on the Reports window using the "Highlight Lifers" section.
In your case, for a Checklist for Gambia, simply check the "World (Lifer)" checkbox, and all things that would be a Lifer for you that can be seen in Gambia will be highlighted with the specified color. (Note: click on the 'pencil' button to the right to specify your own colors for each type of lifer.)
The report will also tell you how many potential lifers there are for you in Gambia.
Additionally, if you want the report to highlight things you have already seen elsewhere, but would be the first time in Gambia, check the "This Location" checkbox. And, if you want the report to highlight things that you have already seen in Gambia before, but just not this year, check the "This Year at Location" checkbox.
Let me know if I can assist further.
