I think that I followed the directions correctly. I have both European Herring gulls and American herring gulls. I edited the list as you described.

when I go back to add or view/edit I don't see either herring gull listed.

Can you think of what step is missing?

Hi Jeanne,

When you go to view/edit, what settings exactly are you specifying? Unless you delete your sightings, they do not go away. It is all in the settings that you specify in View/Edit. What tax list are you specifying? Are you still specifying a name?

Please give me the details and I will be able to assist. Or, if you like, I can get onto your system and have a quick look. I should be here all morning.

Jeff

I followed exactly the directions yougave on 10/08 to horsefeathers.I selected the clements 2005 list.I only changedsome of my NAbirds to se if it would work. The edit appeared to work.

maybe I am not sure how to see if it worked. When I go back and select a list under ADD I don't see herring gull. What am I missing?

I will be home tomorrow or later after 7Pm tonight EDT. What do you mean specifying a name, where? In the edit procedure I specified to change to American herring gull. I did the same under find.

Hi Jeanne,

Let's setup a time tomorrow (specify time zone) where I can get on your system and have a look. I will straighten out anything that needs fixing.

Let me know what works for you.

what time zone are you. 10 AM EDT is good for me, earlier also OK.

While you are on my computer see if what I did with the blue grouse is OK. I changed 2 of my 3 listingsd to dusky. I saw a third one in Oregon and I haven't checked its location to know it it is a sooty or not yet.

My world count got updated but not my ABA. i used clemnts 2005 when I made the change. is that why ABA didn't get updated? this isn't how I thought it would work.

Jeff, I am having the same difficulties as Horsefeathers and Jeanne. I have tried to follow your instructions in the forums to re enter Herring Gull, which is missing from my new Tax lists and fix Blue Grouse split. I hope you can enter my system and do the same great job as you have with Horsefeathers and Jeanne. I am in the Pacific Time Zone and available all day today.
