Hi Jeff:

I've just recently started getting the 3265 error (see screen shot 1). I downloaded the fix, but am getting told I don't have the error (see screen shot 2).

Thanks,

Rob

Jeff: I'm home sick today  if you need to access my computer to assess the problem.

Hi Rob,

I will need to troubleshoot this on my system in debug mode. Would you please ZIP your database and upload it via the "Support >> File Upload" page on this site.

And thanks for the screen captures. It really helps me.

Jeff

Hi Rob,

I have your database. Thanks! But now I find I am unsure how to reproduce your error.

Please give me the steps.

Thanks,
Jeff

Nevermind - found it!

I just tried to run your "Rob's Possible Lifers from Nova Scotia" report.

I am on it...

Rob,

Is this happening in your v3.6.x beta version? Are is this error happening in v3.5.x?

Hi Jeff:

My original post was about 3.5, but I just tested it in 3.6 and received the same error message.

Hi Jeff!

Have you had any luck with my 3265 problem? I'm having it on a few older reports I had created.

If you haven't, should I just delete and re-create the older troublesome reports (not something I want to do on a continuing basis, but will do to resolve the problem now) Or do you feel the 3265 error would just pop up in the future too?

Thanks!

Rob

Rob - still looking into that. Steve wrote some code in that area and I am awaiting his analysis before proceeding.

BTW - if you remove any reference to Family/Order etc. The report will work.

Will have fix shortly.

Thanks Jeff!

In the end I just decided to delete the "offending" reports. After starting fresh there were no problems.

Rob,

Recreating the report should not have fixed anything, unless you omitted your reference to Family Description.

Is that what you did?

Hi Jeff:

Yes I did reference the Family Description. Now looking closely at the report (Checklist) two things are happening:

1. It's not crashing

2. If I configure the checklist to "only include things not seen" I get the first screen shot. Only one (blank) Family Description title bar and a total of all species.

But if I configure it to "check off things already seen" I get the second screen shot which seems to be correct.

Thanks!

Rob

It should not fail when you have not selected "Include Only Things Not Seen".

But, if that is checked and you include a reference to Family, then it should fail. I am at a loss to explain why your first screen capture worked.

I did start from scratch on that report - rather than try to fix the original - if that makes any difference.
