Jeff,
    I'm getting the same error when I try to start BD35. I've downloaded the latest fixes and updates and the program will not start.  See uploaded photo on desktop.......same error message as Rob, but at the start of hitting exe file.
    I haven't been able to get any of the newer versions of BD working since BD2.5!

And very sorry you have had such a hard time. I am sure I can get you going on any version. I moved your post to its own thread so I can track this separately.

The post did not receive an uploaded photo. Please post again with the photo. Make sure you don't use the Quick Reply feature, but rather the Reply link on the post. This will give you a Message Attachements section for uploading a picture file.

What version of Windows are you running (e.g. XP, 2000, ME, etc)?

Did you have any errors during the installation?

Did you install over the internet or from a CDrom?

Do you have a fast internet connection? I may need to get on your system to have a look.
