Hi Jeff,

After I run a backup or restore from BD 3.5.56 the program doesn't close automatically, as it did in version 3.0, but when I try to do anything I am given a run-time error (3031) that allows me to click on "ok" four times and then closes the program for me (the first three screenshots are attached).  Is this a known problem?  And has it been fixed?

Best wishes,

Graham

Graham,

This is a known problem that only affects some users after a backup.

Exiting and restarting BD is the correct procedure. I have found no work-around or fix for this situation.

Jeff,

I stumbled upon a work-around for RTE 3031.

after restore is complete, instead of using "Add" or "View/Edit" instead hit "Tax View" open any tax and then close tax view. Now Add or view/edit will work on my machine.

I haven't taken time to find whether hitting any of the other buttons will do the same thing, why bothr when this works

Have fun!

Dave

Jeff,

just out of curiousity, I hit the locations button after restoring and that also prevented the RTC 3031 error  - so I suspect other buttons would work for the word-around as well
