I have been using 3.5 since 3/06 with no problems until now. I added a new location and new trip (both took) added my sightings, 2 of which were lifers (the font went bold). I then went to reports and neither one were on my lifelist or state lists. I repeated the entire process many times to no avail. Hugh hugh@kolorose.com |

Hi Hugh,
The answer to this will be in the details.
First, tell me about your two lifers: Observer, bird name & location (tell me the parent(s) of the location)
Then tell me about the setup for your life list report: Observer, location, dates, tax list specified
This set of information should tell us why you don't see them.

Hi Jeff
A) Do not know where "ic" came from, ignore it.
B) "Least Tern" did show in California.
C) Parameters: Reports Lifelist ABA with Comments Design Observer "Hugh Rose" Location "ABA Area" Preview Print
Reports Checklist Things already seen Location "California" Observer "Hugh Rose" Preview Print

Hi Hugh,
With my infamous Chester Tester observer, I added a sighting for Least Tern to location California.
I then went to reproduce reports as you did and it worked as expected. Please review my screen shots below and tell me how yours differs.
Please do include screen captures. It is easy and saves typing and misinterpretation. The FAQ on the Forum Instructions page tells you how.

Jeff, mine differs in theTaxonomy, it's "ABA world checklist" I do not have "ABA North America 11-2005" in my drop down selection. I did purchase it with the 3.5 upgrade on 3/28/2006 on your invoice#147663 for $29.00 Hugh |

Hugh,
To get the tax list your purchased, please see the instructions at Downloads > Tax List Instructions on this website.
"ABA world checklist"? Did you mean "ABA Bird Checklist"?
Are you available to let me on your system and chat with you via the phone today? Do you have a fast internet connection?
Let me know, Jeff |

Well - just a couple minutes on Hugh's system did what an hour or two via the forums couldn't on this one. I should have thought of this. What happened is that Hugh's Location performance table (internal database table) had become corrupt. This can happen, for example, if your system crashes while you are editing/adding locations.
Fortunately, the fix is easy. I just added a test location and then deleted it; then closed the Location window, forcing a rebuild of the Location performance table.
All is well now with Hugh's system on this matter.
