I recently downloaded the new ABA 07 w/ subspecies list and followed all directions.  I currently have a .csv file on my computer and when I open it, all birds are listed.  My problem is that when I tried to enter a bird I found that no birds were listed.  I tried every other tax list on my BD and every one of them gives me the same screen - shown in the attachment - (sorry, that's the best I know how to get it to you).  I'm sure there's a simple solution but I'm not the one to find it so I greatly appreciate your help!!  Thanks, Jane

Hi Jane,

Thanks much for the screenshot. It tells volumes.

For example, you are trying to filter on a location which does not have any checklist data associated with it by default. "Florida, Ft....".

By default, the checklist data that comes with the tax lists reports data down to the state level. So, simply select "Florida" as the location, and you won't have any problem.

But if you want to use your user-defined location as a basis, select the Checkbox, Show only things sighted at this location. Then the checklist will only include those things you have already sighting at this location or any location under it.

Let me know if I can assist further.

Jeff
