Sorry to be away for a few days. Life intervened.
I select Printer File as Output. The Save As screen appears, with .txt as the type of file. Previously, the file went to the printer just fine. It has been several months since this first started happening and I cannot identify anything that happened in the interim. Wait! I installed AOL's Computer checkup at Christmas and then had to spend all day Christmas Eve on the telephone with a technician because the program wiped out all my drivers. Coincidence?
Yes, Windows XP. If I use the Text option, I get two different results. Sometimes, it is "code" on the Notepad. Other times it is a 1 column, double spaced printout with the information requested. If I use the pdf, sometimes it works OK. Other times I get the following message: Adobe Reader could not open "name of file" because it is either not a supported file type or because the file has been damaged (for example, it was sent as an email attachment and wasn't properly decoded).
I noticed the 3 year to-the-day item, so hope that moving to 7/25 removes the voodoo element. |
