Tried to open BD3.6.49 (win XP) got error during entry window.  ERROR WITH LICENSE CONTROL. ErrNum=46, Descritpion=[Registry Set Error].  BD would not run, closed error window and ended BD entry window.  Next I was able to open BD with only the exit button highlighted and the Application is not licensed window showing.  Used UNLOCK NOW and entered my License# and password for my purchase of BD3.5 update from 3.0x.  But The licenseID has already been used the allotted number of timed - Contact BD..........

Tried my license and PW from purchase of BD3.6 from 3.5.x advanced.  The license was accepted, BUT only EXIT icon shows.  Closed BD and tried to open and got the ERROR with license control, as shown in previous message.  Had to use CONTROL-ALT-DELETE to close BD entry screen and Error window.  Next I tried to open BD again and got to main window, as before, with only EXIT icon and Application not licensed window showing.  This time when I tried UNLOCK NOW with BD3.6 license# and PW I got LICENSE ID has already been used the allotted.........contact BD......

Somthing must be messed up in the Registry??

I downloaded BD3.6.49 to "repair" but no change from above message.  Also note that the BD taskbar shows my correct World, ABA and Alaska life lists.

Hi Mel,

Was gone for the weekend.

I have reset your activations for your 3.6 license.

Please use that license with the instructions at the top of this page for activating your licenses on Vista. (e.g. need to run as admin)

That should clear it up.

I had to relicense all my TAX lists plus BD3.6 advanced, but now everything works.

Thank you for your quick response right after your birding trip!!  We are in Alaska on an RV birding caravan and seeing lots of new birds and mammals to add to BD.
