Hello Jeff,

I was adding a new location, Midland County, and during the process I got an error that caused the program to close completely.  I did not have the foresight to write down the error message.

When i relaunched BD, I added my March 1 sightings for Midland County.  Unfortunately, those March 1 sightings do not appear in my 2009 life list or view sightings reports.

I thought I could fix the problems by deleting my  March 1 sightings and location Midland County.  Then I would start over by setting up Midland County and my March 1 sightings.  The preceeding process is one I can do and understand.

However, I was wondering if it is better to just delete my entire DB and restore it from my late feb 2009  backup, a process I have not done and scares me.

Here are some print screens to give some visuals of what I tried to describe above.  Number 1 and 2 do not show the march 1 Red Tailed Hawk sighting.   Number 3 shows the sighting is somewhere in the DB.   Number 4 is the new location I set up.

Thanks as always.

Hi Greg,

Thanks for the details and screen shots!

This problem is very easy to remedy. Simply create a "TEST" location in the Locations window, then delete it and close the Locations window. The Location Performance table will be rebuilt - which is the problem here. Once rebuilt (action at the bottom of the main BD window), all will be fine.

Let me know if I can assist any further,

Jeff
