I do not feel comfortable following instrucitons to mess with the registry and cannot veiw/edit anything as it doesn't work in Vista7.  This may be simple, but is not simply part of what I expect from a program.  Please help.

Are you getting the RTE 13 error when you attempt to use View/Edit? Is that the problem? 

There really is little risk in following the instructions for fixing it on Vista. Which step is giving you trouble or makes you uncomfortable? I will help.
