Just an update for those that might have a similar problem and wonder what the solution was. Roland had gotten the re-import of everything correct and had correctly modified the checklist to include his new genus-level things.
However, during the Sighting Entry Setup, he had Only show things sighted at this location checked. So, his RNPhalrope and passerina sp. were not showing up in the list.
