Last Spring I bought a laptop.    I tried to load BD onto it but couldn't.    I haven't had time to do anything about it all summer because I was travelling etc.    Now I tried again and it loaded  OK but only the demo version.    I'm running 32 bit Vista on the laptop.      I wonder if I've simply run out of activations.     I'm heading out on the road again on Wednesday morning, going to Florida, hoping for lots of lifers during our 3 months in the south, and I really want to have BD available.     I don't mind that much if I can't run it on my new desktop but would like it on the laptop.     Help please!

Hello Dan,

You have not run out of activations. You simply need to activate your user license on the new computer(s). Your 3.6 license is 447773. Send email to me at support@birdersdiary.com if you need the password. Be sure to follow the instructions for license activation at the top of this page in the FAQ section for Vista in order to activate your license correctly.

Thanks, Jeff. I thought that I was running the demo version but perhaps not.

Hi John,

Well, when you first install BD on any new computer, you are running in Demo mode until you activate your license(s).
