One little glitch in the new Taxonomic install process. I'm running Birder's Diary on a little 8.9" Acer One for travel (haven't tried this on the larger desktop yet). But I am unable to move the Tutorial instruction window to hit (or even see) the "Continue key" (see attached screen shot). Hitting "Enter" starts it running, but someone new might night do that.

Thanks for pointing this out. It has been brought to my attention once already.

So - I went digging. Darn it. I cannot find any controls for pausing/starting the video when you cannot see the controls at the bottom. Nor can I find anyway to add scroll bars to the player window. ARggg..

So, for the short term, I have added this video to the Online Users Guide (this site, choose Support => Online Users Guide, then select Video Tutorials from the table of contents on the left and you will see the topic for "Importing a new or updated taxonomic list". When you select it, it will start playing.)

The benefit from playing it in the web browser is that you now get scrollbars and can then view the entire video on small computer screens by using the scroll bars.

Please let me know how this works on your Acer One.

Hi Rob,

Just updated all new tax list install kits to auto-play the video in your default browser. This should do the same thing as my previous change - in that you will now have scroll bars to display the video on smaller screens.

Please let me know if you have any feedback on this.

I downloaded the Trees tax list again, input my "unzip password", but ran into the same problem when the install feature started running (please see attached screen shot). Should I have done something different?

HI Rob,

No - I only updated the video in the latest 2009 tax lists. For the other tax lists, please see my previous post about running the video in your web browser within the Online Users Guide above. That will give you scroll bars to see and interact with all of the video.

Hi Jeff!

I had to add the swf address to Adobe Flash Player (see attached), but it worked well after that. I imagine my Adobe was set to default settings, so you might run into problems with people not sure how to amend Adobe.
