I installed Birder's Diary from my disc and updated on line to version 3.6.49.  I followed the FAQ to activate my licenses on Windows 7.  The Diary is activated and no longer in demo mode.  I activated all my other licenses, but they need to be imported.  However, when I follow the directions to import a taxonomy  I am unable to find the downloaded files in my Documents that were transfered from my old computer a Dell running XP.

Do I need to download all of them again and start over?  If so, I am in trouble because only one of them shows up in my download list in my account and that would be Butterflies 2007.

What shall I do?

Carol

Hi Carol,

No. The key is to copy over a copy/backup of your database from your old system. That database contains *all* of your taxonomic lists. Nothing for you to import.

See this topic from the Online Users Guide: http://www.birdersdiary.com/Documentation/BDV37/How_To/Move_Birder_s_Diary_to_a_new_Computer.htm

Just copy over your old database and you are set.

Let me know if you have further questions.

Jeff
