I am away from home, and my Win7 64 bit virtual machine crashed and burned. I have managed to install a Win7 32 bit VM, and wish to install BD into it. I do have the downloaded 123 MB file on a USB stick. The Internet connection where I am is too poor to allow Web installation. I am trying to install from the full download. I get through the introductory screens, until I see the Pigmy Owl and press "Install". Then I get this: (See attachment).

Any ideas?

Hi Alan,

I guess I would check that file. Make sure it exists and that it is not ReadOnly. Make sure your virtual disk drive is not full and is not write-protected. See if you can create a simple text file in the specified directory (use Notepad and type some text and attempt to save it to that directory).

I would start there. In either case, it is a system issue and not anything in particular with the BD installation.
