Jeff, I just bought a new laptop. The install and restore went pretty smooth. However, I have a blue block around petey that blocks everything else. Any idea how to get rid of this? if it helps I am using Win 7 64 bit. Mike

Yep - this is because Microsoft stopped supporting Petey (MSAgent) in Vista. We will keep it around as long as it functions, but eventually it will go away. Jeff

Jeff, That is what I get for not reading te FAQ at the top of this page. As it turns out installing the hotfix from MS solves the problem on my 32 bit machine but it is not compatible with Win 7 64. Mike

Hi Mike, Microsoft has a separate fix/download for 64-bit computers. You have to connect to the link using that computer, because I believe it detects your computer type when you connect. fyi Jeff

I have downloaded the 64 bit hotfix, but it did not set Petey's background to transparent. I cannot find that property anywhere in the documentation, either.

Hi I have just got a new desktop machine with Windows 7 64 bit and I am getting the same issue with the blue background. I couldn't see if there was any link posted to the hotfix and have searched but cannot find anything. Please let me know if there is an easy way to find this. Nicky

Hi Nicky, If you found the hot fix and it worked, could you please post information for others here? Thank you. I didn't know there was a fix for the blue background around Petey on Win7. thanks, Jeff
