How concerned, if at all, should I be by the error below from the ChecklistImport.Log?

Location did not exist for import. Created it under World\$Orphaned Locations$\.
ERROR: <380>, : , <41290>, < ABA AREA>, <791>

Hi Kirk,

No problem at all. In fact, those checklist records for ABA Area are superfluous and were added by the ABA w/subspecies tax list by oversight.

But it is curious why you do not have that location in your location tree. It should be there by default.

Open up your Locations window and see if you can find ABA AREA under "ABA LOCATIONS" in the tree.

Location "<"BISMARCK ARCHIPELIGO">" did not exist for import. Created it under World\$Orphaned Locations$\.
ERROR: <380>, "<"Invalid property value">": "<"American Pipit pacificus">", <41290>, < ABA AREA>, <791>

Yes the location exists under ABA Locations -> ABA AUSTRALASIA REBION -> AUSTRALASIA -> BSIMARCK ARCHIPELIGO.  There are a couple other orphaned locations Eastern China and NEW BRITAIN.

Hi Kirk,

Thanks for the screenshot. It helps.

I see no problem nor reason for the "ABA AREA" error you received. And I don't see that it was created under the Orphaned Locations branch. So, ignore that.

However, you do point out a problem with the misspelling of the "Bismarrck Archipeligo". I should be spelled with an "a". This is there because a subspecies was incorrectly assigned to the misspelled version of that location.

To fix this:

  1. (Reassign the subspecies to the correct spelling) Open the Checklist Editor and
    1. select "Clements 6.4.1"
    2. Check the Subspecies checkbox
    3. Click the Set button
    4. Type in the misspelled "Bismarck Archipeligo" and
    5. Click the Load button
    6. It will load one record for a subspecies - see screenshot below
    7. Select that record by clicking on the left side of the record row; it will highlight the record.
    8. Click on the Copy... button
    9. In the copy-to location, enter the correct spelling of "Bismarck Archipelago"
    10. Click Ok
    11. Close the Checklist Editor
  2. Open the Locations window
    1. Open the $Orphaned Locations$ locaiton
    2. Right-click on the "Bismarck Archipeligo" location and choose Delete.

All set.

Jeff
