Hi Jeff: As per our e-mails, I tried to create a 2007/2008 Ontario Winter Checklist, with the species already seen, checked off. Here anyway, Winter Listers tend to use the dates "December 1 to February 28/29". However due to "This Year Only" being my only choice (time-wise), the checklist does not include any species seen in December. Rather than "This Year Only", what if we were able to chose the time period we want included. (i.e.. Begin: 12/01/2007 and End: 29/02/2008) as we can with Reports? This would allow users to chose the option of "Check off things already seen" PLUS control the time period needed. Thanks! Rob

It's winter, which made me wonder about the above. Beyond our original conversation, nothing was really mentioned. Is there anyway to create a checklist (for example) of Ontario birds but within the confines of December 1, 2010 - February 28, 2011 with needed birds being hi-lited? Rob

Hi Rob, That is not going to make it into this release unfortunately. I see where it has merit and I have had one other request for something similar - so I would like to get it in eventually. The only thing left is the dashboard concept and finishing the help! Thanks, Jeff

Hi Rob, So, considering the new 3.7 functionality concerning checklists, would the date affect all three checkboxes, or only the "This year at location" checkbox? I could make an argument either way. Just wondering which would be of benefit to your uses. Jeff

Jeff, My vote would be to have it affect all three. You may recall our long discussions about a fourth type of checklist, one that was "this year but all locations" - for people doing a big year (at any level, be it world, ABA, state, whatever), it would show needs for the year. Using the date constraint against the chosen location would neatly solve that problem. Kevin
