I was surprised to find Greater Bird-of-Paradise on this checklist, as this bird is confined to New Guinea, or at least I thought it was. Is this an error or has the bird been successfully introduced into Trinidad and/or Tobago? If you're looking for it on the list, it's between Long-billed Gnatwren and Yellow-throated Vireo.

I see that John. You can of course correct that in your copy using the Checklist Editor.

However, be careful, this window does pose problems to the uninitiated. Instructions for using this window can be found on this web site: Support :: Online Users Guide - go to Windows->Checklist Editor in the TOC on the left.

I have updated the master dataase on my system. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

Jeff

John,

Greater Bird-of-Paradise was introduced to Little Tobago Island in 1909, but the birds haven't been seen since 1981.  The species should be taken off the T&T checklist.
