This checklist was compiled by Marc again and then updated via various sources to include extra species.
This checklist incoroporates all subspecies of any species found on Easter Island and therefore is not 100% accurate as it contains some subspecies that are not to be found on Easter Island.
If someone can confirm which subspecies are not found there, then we can further perfect this list.
There are currently 8 species (Clements tax) on the Easter Island checklist.
The attached revised checklist adds 6 more: Phoenix Petrel, Polynesian Strom-Petrel, Masked Booby, Eastern Reef-Heron, Bristle-thighed Curlew and Grey Noddy.
All the additions are substantiated by Jaramillo (Birds of Chile).
As a percentage increase, this is quite impressive.

I tried to import this Easter Island checklist and got an error message.
"3077 Syntax error in string message"
See attached screen shot.
What did I do wrong?
Was I supposed to leave the location field empty??

Hi Pete,
I just tried this with your settings (thanks much for the screen capture!) and had no problem.
You are running 3.6.12 - right?
When did you get this error in the process - after clicking Import? Before the Analysis window? After the Analysis window?
Wanna let me on your system real quick to have a looksee?

I had the same error message as Pete, using 3.6.20 and Clements 2004.
The error occured after it had seemed to import the file but before any analysis.
On bottom left of screen appeared "importing into temp table" which, I suppose, is normal.

Hi John,
I am confused. Clements 2004 is a taxonomic list. We are talking about checklist imports. The message you get about "Importing into temp table" only comes from the Checklist Import function.
Were you importing a tax list using the Checklist tab?

If this is reproducible on your system, please
1) backup your database
2) try to repeat this
3) if it repeats, then
4) zip the backup
5) upload to me via the Support >> File Upload page

Solved - I think. It appeared to go okay using M Internet Explorer. Maybe your system is not Mozilla friendly?

Nope - did not get it. Darn it.
How big is the file? If under 10MB - email it. Otherwise... ummm please try again with MS IE.

Hi John,
I am not an expert on web technology or the DNN that is used to create this web site, however, from info I gleaned from another support site, I modified some configuration parameters (and posted a problem with my web hosting provider).
I am now testing an upload of a 22MB file from my system. I will post back here with the results.
Sorry for all the trouble. And thanks for trying so hard. Hopefully the configuration change will make a difference.

My 22MB file just uploaded via the File Upload page successfully in ~ 10 mins.
Please give your file another try when you get a chance and maybe my change made the difference.

I tried again. The progress bar completed in about 2 mins but I got no confirmation of upload. The page reverted to the upload page after c 15 mins with no error message.
Maybe you have it?
