Hi Jeff. Just got back from birding in Brazil and thought I would let you know that Dusky-tailed Flatill, Ramphotrigon Fuscicauda, is not on the Checklist when you print it off on BD, or when you go to enter sightings. I used the South America checklist to record my sightings of the Flatbill in Brazil. The Flatbill is a common species in Brazil, so thought you would like to know so that this can be corrected in the future.

Good birding.

Todd

Thank you Todd - I really appreciate this input.

Good news - we are updating checklist data (the association between a bird and a location) for BD World Wide and this update will be available with the latest taxonomic lists due out soon.

Also, just a couple words about how to deal with such situations when they occur and you are using the Checklist Entry method. When you have a bird that is not appearing in your Checklist Entry screen that you want to record a sighting for, without exiting the entry screen, specifying a broader region and reentering - simply use the Add Name button. This will allow you to add any name to your current checklist entry screen and then add the sighting for it.

Thanks,

Jeff
