Import the attached checklist file to correct Herring Gull complex (Clements' american herring gull and european herring gull) checklist/location data.
Use the settings in the screen shot below when importing this file.
Using those settings will remove all current locations in your database for these two BD Internal Things (American Herring Gull and Herring Gull) and replace them with correct data. |

The .csv file has the same problem as the Easter Island file. If you edit the file in excel, delete the blank line after the data then save it, it will import. I attach the corrected file

I downloaded the copy from your message and had the same problem. I then opened it in notepad and removed the blanks on the last line, saved it, and imported that without problems.

I had error with John's list too. I went back and downloaded original csv and removed the BEGINNING blank row and had no error installation!

| I should havre added that I was running BD 3.6.22 when I installed the gull file today. That may have been a factor too! Al |

Darn. Somehow, that extra line at the end is getting added to this file. I just edited the original file attachment in the first post in this thread (downloaded, removed the last blank line, reloaded it, downloaded again, and the blank line is gone). So, that has been the problem. Somehow, an extra line is getting added.
It seems to get added to an original attachment in this forum, but then once I edit it and re-add it, the file seems ok. Really strange.
It is ok now.

I thought that the first line had to be blank. If if wasn't blank, the data in the first line would be bypassed anyway. Jeff, what is the deal with the first blank line in a checklist?

Yes - the first line in any import file must be blank. If it is not, it may fail, but if it doesn't, then the first line will be ignored and not imported.

This file was cross-posted under the Yellow Wagtail post in this forum.
It corrects all herring gull checklist data as well as yellow wagtail checklist data.
You should use Overwrite Things with this import file.

Jeff,
Is this attachment applicable to BDv3.6.29 as well?

Yes Al. All such checklist data can be imported multiple times without any adverse effect to your database. So when in doubt, import.
