I tried to put bird listings into BD from our 2011 trip to Ireland and Northern Ireland.  I tried the BOU, the Clements 2004, and the Clements World 2010 and the bird names that I put in were not recognized.  Must I create my own checklist?  or  which checklist should be applicable?

Birds sighted include the Fulmar, Gannet, Cormorant, Grey Heron, ... Jackdaw.

My guess is that on the "Sightings Entry Setup" window, you specified a location filter of something that does not have any birds tied to it. Simply increase the scope of the location filter.

You should have birds tied to "Ireland".

If this isn't helping, please attach a screen shot of your "Sightings Entry Setup" as it is just before you click on Continue.
