I got the idea for this HOW-TO forum from another site. And it seems quite pertinent and a good addition to the small list of forums for Birder's Diary on this site.

The idea is this: It is quite difficult to keep up with the latest information on how to perform certain tasks in either the users guide that ships with Birder's Diary or in the Online Users Guide available on this site. And almost impossible to cover every single use scenario, on all platforms, for all users.

With that in mind, users are encouraged, when they have a "HOW-TO" type question, to search this forum for an answer. If none is found, then please start a new topic and it will get answered. And, as the repository of how-to answers grows in this forum it may well serve as one-stop shopping for your questions on how to perform common or uncommon tasks in Birder's Diary.

In addition, if you have a "HOW-TO" type answer, go ahead and post it here. Use existing topics as a template for completeness of description and details on how to do the task in question. It doesn't have to be perfect, just helpful. I am sure many, many Birder's Diary users have several helpful how-to's that they already employ on a regular basis!

As time goes by, I will copy existing how-to topics from other forums into this forum; thus growing it more quickly.
