I would like to sync my desktop and netbook BD files (Windows 7 on both, using MS SyncToy 2.1). My initial thought is Sync the Data Folders (C:\Program Files\Birder's Diary\Data). Are the files in this folder the only ones that need to be synchronized?

Yes - in fact - only database.mdb needs to be sync'd.

Plethodon,

Have you used SyncToy for this? If so how how is it working out? I am considering something like this as well. One option is to keep a master copy on my NAS and sync with the files on the desktop and laptop when they start. The other option would be to have the two sync directly to each other via the netwrok. Have you (or anyone else for that matter) tried either of these aproaches. I am certainly open to other approaches if some has a better idea.
By the way I take it from your screen name you like amphibians as well as birds.

Mike
