Hi Dan,
3.7 works on XP, Vista or Win7. Not sure what problems you ever had with it in the past. But I have it running 100% fully functional on all three platforms with no changes required to the OS.
In the past and current, there are the following things:
- The help subsystem used in 3.0 through 3.6 was discontinued in Vista/Win7 and therefore, you had limited Help functionality on those platforms until it was rewritten in 3.7 and now fully supported on Vista/Win7. The limitation was that you could not launch the help videos from within the Help files.
- Pete, Microsoft's MSagent, was discontinued by Microsoft with Vista. But, it still works by default on most implementations, and on those that do not support it, you can download a patch for MSagent/Petey that will make it work again. This is referenced in the FAQ at the top of this page.
- Licensing in Vista and Win7 64-bit requires that you start BD 3.6 through 3.7 with "run as admin" only when you need to activate the user license. All other times, you start BD normally.
That is all I am aware of, past and present.
Let me know if I can assist with anything further,
