Jeff

I have been trying to get the Cornell 6.5 checklist imported

but I keep getting that message cannot execute machmn1.exe! command and now I also

get a fatal flaw message saying cannot register class and when I go in the log it says this

ERROR: <380>, : , <40603>, < ABA AREA>, <791>

I have done this 2 times now and the first time it did nothing except all of the above messages the second time I got the same messages but then the log said the above so how do I know everything is ok

I also got the above messages when I added the taxonomy list I am assuming they are ok because I liscensed them.  This has been happening also with ABA 2010

Let me know what you think I have had that exe message more in 3.7 then I ever had in 3.6

I thought it would be better because in the unlicensed version I did not get that message once I liscensed it it pops up everywhere out of the blue

Thanks

Sue,

I also get those messages - both "Cannot execute machnm1.exe" and "Cannot register class".

I have learned that after I get the message I can click OK, and the process will continue. You may have to click OK a few times because the Checklist Import is a big file and takes a long time, but on my machine it does finally import successfully.

Regards,
Steve

Hello Sue,

The log error can be ignored. The import should be just fine.

As for the machnm1 error, the 'cannot register class' is just a part of that and can be ignored. Agreed it is a pain but it causes to errors or problems with BD or its data.

Interesting that you had this errormore in 3.7 than in 3.6. Have I been on your machine before in regards to this error?

Can you tell me what kind of machine this is? (e.g. maker [dell, hp, etc], What version of Windows, 32- or 64-bit?)

We simply have been unable to chase down this error and why it occurs. But - it seems to occur on 64-bit Vista or Win7 machines - and usually a DELL. There are about 4-6 customers out of thousands with this problem.

Jeff

Thanks Steve for the info Thats what I did I was just wondering if  the checklist was working because it happened so many times and the first time I put in the checklist it would never finish hung up had to close BD and then retry importing and it finally worked

Thanks for the help though

Sue
