Just installed 3.5 after old 2.0 version.  Saw Petey talk some.  Then I tried to "restore" from my old data file, which it couldn't find.  I moved my file into the requested folder and renamed it to what it asked for, but now when I attempt to enter BD it still says it can't find my data!  It won't even bring up BD at all.  Help!

Hello Cheryl:

Did you read the page on this web site at Product Info >> Upgrading from 2.5 or 3.0? Please review this page for information.

Installing V3.5 on your system will NOT upgrade your 2.x data.

To get back the default 3.5 database, simply delete the one there now and re-run the installation process. It will see that the default 3.5 database is missing and restore it.

Then I tried to "restore" from my old data file, which it couldn't find.
You cannot restore a database from anything previous to v3.5.

I moved my file into the requested folder and renamed it to what it asked for, but now when I attempt to enter BD it still says it can't find my data!
What file did you move?

It won't start because it cannot find a valid 3.x database.

Let me know how I can assist further.

Jeff
