In BD 2.5 I was able to produce the following checklist, but not in 3.x. It was the most important checklist that I used when I went birding out of state.
Say I am going back to Washington State. I would like a checklist of the birds of Washington (no problem), that includes only the species I have not seen in Washington (again, no problem), and shows which birds I have already seen elsewhere (no longer possible). With this on one list I could see what would be state birds (the entire list) and which of them would be life birds.
Another variation not in 2.5 but desireable: A full checklist of WA birds, with one checkbox that is checked if I have the species in WA, another that is checked if I have the species at all. It would be nice to be able to add ABA, lower 48, that sort of thing too, but the key is all in one list.
Perhaps the answer is that each checkbox added has a sub-attribute for how to check it off automatically. Perhaps not.
