Jeff and others- The run time error message has happened a couple of times while working in BD over the last several days. Since I posted about this several months ago there has been a change- I am on a new system (Dell) running Vista 64 bit. However, the circumstances are the same. It occurs while changing the Date/Time in the ADD window. Sometime I type over the date, other times I use the drop down box. This morning I was doing the latter. The date changes and then I clicked to put the cursor in the Location box. The following error message occurred:

BDV36

Run time error '35605'

This item's control has been deleted.

BD shuts down when I click OK and then my homescreen appears. I don't have any trouble re-opening BD but have to re-enter the information.  Note-it doesn't always happen and I can't predict when it will. Often I'm not even looking at the screen because I am typing from my field notes. I get a warning tone and there the error box is.

Thanks,

Jean

Hi Jean,

Is there any more text to the error at all?

The screen capture utility saves the file to the location you specify when you setup the utility. To check to see where it is saving it, right-click on the icon (yellow hand) in the system tray (lower right of your screen, where the time is) and choose Open; then select the To TAB; then look in the Folder field for the location. Also check the File Type on that same TAB for the file extension it will give it.

Does this happen on keyboard entry or checklist entry?

Have you tried simpy re-running the BD installation from the Downloads page on this site? Do not deinstall BD from your system. Do nothing more than re-run the installation here and see if it resets what has been corrupted on your system.

Let's start here,

Jeff
