Whenever I try to access the View/Edit dialog on BD 3.6, I get a message Please wait while Windows configures Roxio MyDVD DE.

This never works as the system cannot find the disk it is looking for. After I cancel this, BD works fine, so this is annoying, but not fatal.

I am curious what could be triggering this behavior.

I am running Vista SP2 on a Dell XPS M1710 with 2GB RAM and plenty of available disk space.

I am running BD V3.6. According to the update function, I am running the latest version.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

Hi Jim,

This has to do with a file extension association with Roxio. It's an error that happens quite often in Windows for various things and reasons. These products sometime associate with as many file types as they can. If you have Roxio, deinstallation followed by reinstallation may fix the problem - test BD in-between. Or try this:

  1. Open windows explorer (right-click on START button and choose Explore)
  2. Choose Tools | Folder Options
  3. Select the File Types TAB
  4. Look through the long list of Registered File Types for anything that might trigger Roxio MyDVD. If any have GRD, CSV try deleting them and retry BD.

Let's start there.

Jeff
