Hello Jeff,
I tried what you suggested and can actually open the program now and could enter my old database. But as soon as I try any functions, such as entering a location, a sighting, or opening a report, I get the same error message again and get booted out of the program. Do I need to follow the same procedure you suggested for each of these functions?
(Yes, we corresponded before. Birder’s Diary was running only in demo mode and I had problems registering it, but that problem has since been solved.)
Thanks for your help.
Ann Marie
Hello Ann Marie,
Replying to post notifications you get via email do not come back to this forum - so you actually have to go back to this forum to continue the conversation. fyi
When you say that you tried what I suggested, does this mean that you set your language format to English. And that the startup error went away? If so, that doesn't make any sense.
But now, you get the same exact error when doing other things in BD. Again - no sense in that. So let me know if I understand what you are saying correctly.
What kind of computer are you on? What OS? (e.g. Vista, XP, etc) 32-bit or 64-bit?
And, are you saying that BD ran fine in Demo mode, but after activating your licenses you started getting this error? If so, this points to some sort of corruption issue. I recommend re-running the Network Installation from the Downloads page. It will not overwrite your data, but may fix possible file corruption issues.
If you continue to get the problem, please give me just one instance where this error occurs; tell me exactly what you do, and please post a screenshot of the error.
Let's start here.
