Tonight I was using my demo copy of BD. I made today's entries, and then decided to have a look for all the duck species I'd seen. I couldn't find a way to do it. Another thing I wanted to do was find the earliest dates year by year for warbler species. I am probably missing something quite obvious, but I couldn't figure that out either. Can you help?

You can do both.

Listing of all sightings for ducks, etc

This is what the Taxonomy filter is for on the reporting screen and othe screens. Use that to filter on Animalia - Chordata - Aves - Anseriformes. See screen shot below. Now you will only get sightings of those things, on the selected taxonomic list, that occur under that branch of the taxonomic tree.

Earliest dates for species

Use the Ignore year checkbox (Reports and View/Edit sightings) and then sort ASC on Date. You will get a list of all sightings sorted by dat of the year (ignoring the year).

Also, new in V3.7 is a new graphing feature that shows this to you graphically!!
