Basically the same as Roy's new type of report. I hope he did not already suggest this variation.
Allow me to select a set of locations and abbreviations to define the columns and put the species on the rows.
As an example, AB = Alberta, ON = Ontario, MI = Michigan, PP for Point Pelee, CC for Crane Creek, etc. for the row headings, and the species down the sides.
at the intersection would be data from my sightings, with "Y" for seen this year and "L" for seen in life. The report could print only columns and rows that have a hit.
Even better, combine it with checklist data for the locations and species, so I could see at a glance if the species is on the checklist for the location, and whether I have it or not. Obviously, this would print all columns and rows.
I actually did prototype this report, using the ABA location abbreviations, and the Avisys nation abbreviatons as the row headings. I liked it. |
