I recently wiped my hard drive (for a squeaky clean Windows 7 install !) and after reinstalling Birder's Diary and restoring the database from backup, I was able to re-license all of my purchased software and tax lists....with one exception.
My Birder's Diary Upgrade to 3.6 from Version 3.5x-Advanced failed, indicating that I had already used all of my alloted activations. 
The purchase date was Sept. 20, 2006, and the invoice was LLC Order #168581.
Aside from the above, everything else was simple, smooth, and without issue! BD works just fine under Win 7.
